Gardening with Plants Native to Southeast Alaska

This workshop will look at examples of plants native to Petersburg that have value in the garden, how a gardener might get those plants, and considerations for managing native plants in the home garden. Those attending will be able to vote on topics for future gardening classes!

Elizabeth Peratrovich Day Event
Thursday February 16, 6pm at the Seaside House
Everyone is welcome at this screening of “For the Rights of All: Ending Jim Crow in Alaska”, followed by a gathering and discussion with refreshments provided by the Seaside House.  This event is made possible by a federal grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services and co-sponsored by the Petersburg Indian Association and the Petersburg Public Library. Through this grant Native and non-Native community members will have the opportunity to share and gain knowledge of Tlingit history, culture and lifestyle through programming and community dialog.
