Beginning Acrylics: Starfish

An introduction to working with acrylic paint. Students will gain a fundamental base of knowledge and embark on their own projects. This class is designed for those who are new to acrylic painting or those who have been away from the canvas and are looking to refresh their skills. Supplies are provided.

Composition, also called ’the art of seeing’, is the foundation of drawing, painting, and photography. In this workshop participants will learn four basic techniques and will learn to create with more confidence. Subjects covered include two-dimensional space relationships, balance, negative space and light/dark values and how they affect composition. Supplies are provided.
